The Spectra-Physics® Mai Tai® SP Ti:Sapphire oscillator provides industry leading stability and cutting edge capability to the scientific research community. It is specifically designed as an amplifier seed for Spectra-Physics ultrafast amplifiers. The Mai Tai SP laser incorporates fully automated controls for bandwidth and center wavelength adjustment without the need for manual user intervention.
This unprecedented level of performance provides a stable, easily adjustable seed source for Spitfire® Ace™ amplifier systems. Because of its flexibility, the same Mai Tai SP laser can be used to seed amplifiers in a variety of pulse width configurations (35 fs, 100 fs) to deliver true, transform-limited pulses.
The Mai Tai SP has exceptional long-term environmental stability. It is built on the proven Mai Tai laser platform with the largest installed base of ultrafast lasers in the industry. These lasers utilize StabiLok® active beam alignment technology, EternAlign™ permanent optics mounting technology, a temperature-stabilized housing and active purge technology to ensure long-term stability under widely varying environmental conditions. The Mai Tai SP uses ProLite diodes, field proven leaders in diode reliability and lifetime – producing uninterrupted output for >40,000 hours.
To verify and analyze the output power of your Mai Tai SP laser, we recommend the Ophir 3A (7Z02621) thermal power sensor and Centauri laser power meter. Additional information on this laser measurement equipment can be found on the ophiropt.com website. Other Ophir sensors and meters may also be suitable for the Mai Tai SP, depending on application. Ophir also works with laser system developers to achieve embedded beam diagnostics to monitor system performance as an OEM solution.
