Application Labs

MKS Spectra-Physics application labs, staffed with a team of leading experts in laser applications, provide expertise and support in our served applications. Our team, independently and collaboratively with universities and institutes, performs essential research and development for advancing state-of-the-art laser applications. We perform sample tests, demonstrate equipment, and provide customer application support. Our applications team also provides critical guidance to our internal product development groups.

Our industrial application labs, located in Milpitas, California; Rankweil, Austria; Stansdorf, Germany; Rehovot, Israel; Giheung, South Korea; and Shenzhen, China, support applications in PCBs, flat panel displays, semiconductors and LEDs, solar and photovoltaics, medical device fabrication, industrial manufacturing, and other applications.

Our application labs feature advanced analytical equipment like an optical microscope with CCD imaging, a non-contact 3D measurement optical profiler, a scanning stylus profilometer (with 3D capability), and more. We have a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art Spectra-Physics lasers, covering ultrafast, CW, and a wide range of wavelengths from IR to UV. Additionally, our labs are equipped with Newport’s precision motion control, vibration isolation, and various optical components, enabling us to demonstrate complete solutions for our customers.
